Lets Get Dirty
Witches are tree hugging dirt worshipers too. Witches work in harmony with nature. The use of rocks, crystals, feathers, water, and even dirt are used in spell craft. There are six types of dirt and their uses that I want to tell you about. Graveyard dirt, fresh earth, garden dirt, full moon dirt, sans, and bank dirt.
Types Of Dirt
Graveyard dirt can be used for binding, tricking enemies, and cursing. It's best to use graveyard dirt from you family. The power of your ancestors will fuel your spell. If you use any other graveyard dirt, use dirt from the area that's not from a gravesite. But rather just the graveyard itself. You may gather unwanted influences from the grave. Or worse you may have something follow you home.
Fresh earth can be used for grounding and centering. Take some time to sift through the dirt to clear it from all debris. Remove all the rocks and sticks. Use in a dish for grounding out your smudge sticks. Use in a dish for grounding while doing energy work.
Garden dirt can be used to make love grow or blossom. Place in spell jars. Bury spells in the ground. Or bury in a houseplant. Water it and grow your spells strength.
Full moon dirt can help in manifestation. Just like full moon water it can add power to your spells.
Sand can be used to cast circle. Pour on the ground to mark the boundaries. During a full moon it can be very pretty. Use sand to when doing ocean magic. Ocean magic is all about ebbing and flowing. Communication and emotions.
Bank dirt is great for money drawing spells. Better yet if you gather the bank dirt on a full moon.
Get Creative
Magic is all around you. In the air, fire, water, and earth. Incorporating it into you magic to give it even more power. Remember to be mindful when gathering your ingredients. Always give gratitude for the things you gather. And do not disrupt the area where you gather from.
